"Key" is so full of energy and we spent an entire day shooting in studio and all around Indianapolis. Probably the longest I've ever spent with a model and he got one heck of a full portfolio! We shot fashion, commercial, underwear and even a couple nudes. He was game for it all and approached every shot with professionalism and a great spirit.
When I met Anthony I was so taken aback by his charm, his smile and outgoing nature that I knew I had to get him into the studio. The results were exactly what I'd hoped for. His images turned out to be very sexy and captured his personality perfectly.
Oh what a find! Britton is a dancer with the Cincinnati Ballet Company. This skill was put to magnificent work in the images we created. The combination of his graceful movements with the derilect building in which we worked was exactly what I had in my mind. Amazing!
I have worked with Chad on a couple of ocassions. He's a photographers dream. Chad comes ready to be molded and shaped into whatever the artists vision is. He never fails to deliver and is alot of fun to be around.
Chad and Mike really amazed me. When they arrived at the studio neither of them had met the other. Their chemistry was palpable and we had such a good time that day. We created some whimsical fashion images and a series of beautiful, lightly erotic images. All of them remarkable for two models who had never met. Heighth of professionalism.
This guy has historically been one of my favorite subjects to photograph. He's the one I've always been able to call up and say "Hey, I've got this really crazy idea. You game?" His answer has always been a resounding yes. Of course this has at times left him asking "why do I agree to these things". Dale, I thank you for your willingness to suffer for the art.
Not only is he a terrific subject to photograph, he's also alot of fun to hang out with. Flying in from near Washington D.C. Eddie stayed for a whole weekend of photographic fun. We created many great images but also had fun just hanging out at the end of the day. We even became Netflix buddies!
Like Madonna and Cher, this guy just needs the one moniker: Giby. We met through Sean, another friend/model. Giby is used to being behind the camera but is so cute I asked him to step in front of mine. I'm glad he agreed, we got some great work.
Jacob and I had such a good time gearing up for our day of shooting. He came down from Chicago and we spent a day creating images in rural country and in an old factory setting downtown Indianapolis. It was a cold December day but Jake had so much energy that he barely seemed to notice.
This man is simply sculpted from the finest marble. I've worked with him a couple times to help fill out his portfolio and he always brings his "A" game. A trainer by trade, the modeling world is lucky to have him.
J.K.. Kolin and Pierce Daniels
While I was living in Columbus, OH. I found these boys on the net and messaged them to see if they would want to do a shoot the next weekend I came back to Indy for a visit. From first contact they have been the most genuine, kind hearted and down to earth models I've ever worked with. Not long after we did our first shoot, their movies for Raging Stallion hit the stands and we eventually ended up shooting a spread for [2] Magazine for Men that was published in June of 2005.
Jeremy is from Chicago and we shot together for the first time in 2002 or 2003, somewhere along those lines. He's definitely another one who will do anything that is asked of him in order to get a memorable image.
We met via the 'net and immediately had a mutual respect for each others work. We made the decision to schedule a weekend to work together. He flew in from Arizona and we had 3 days of photo time. A consumate professional, every photo was a winner. It was difficult to edit them down to my faves!
John was one of those random meetings that turned out so well. He was a beautiful subject to photograph. It was funny to find out all the people we knew in common. I had scouted him for Specialty Publications. Many of the series we took was for their consideration. They ended up using bad judgement and not accepting him as a model but we still ended up with a ton of great work!
We had spoken via Model Mayhem several times. Finally I was to be in Columbus, OH for a few weeks and we were easily able to fit in a shoot. First we met for coffee at Stauff's in Grandview to discuss the shoot. I was instantly impressed by this young mans easy going character. We set a date to shoot and Hocking Hills was to be the location. What a magical place that is! The day began early and we just had a shooting frenzy. Amazing locations everywhere we hiked. We could have shot all day had it not been for the growing crowds.
Josh and his fiance (at the time, they have since married) drove down in a hellacious winter strom from roughly an hour west of Chicago all the way down to Indy. What a time we had! They were and exuberant and fun couple and it was a pleasure to spend time with them in the studio. Josh had never posed nude before but had decided to at the urging of his fiance. He did a great job and we created some very memorable images.
Matt was a ball of energy when we worked together. He was anxious to lend himself to the creative process and did a terrific job and being exactly what he needed to be to get the right images. We did several very different looks and he did a great job of them all.
At first I was skeptical about the pairing of these two models. Stan I had worked with several times before but Nick was a newbie to me in addition to their age and physical size differences. I wasn't sure how things would go. But as soon as I started posing them and directing the shoot it was clear that they were working some magic.
This gallery is the home of the images that are most personal to me. Most of the time I work in such a way that I ask a willing model to come and work with me so that we can just start shooting and see what happens. But sometimes I'm going about my day and get hit with a very specific inspiration. At that point the image is already created in my head and all I need is to get in the studio and get the image... "Out of My Head". So these images are in a collection that is thusly named.
Oh Pat. He is one of the most extraordinarily beautiful human beings in all of creation. To see him in photographs or in person one simply stops and pays attention. He walks into view and you can't help but notice his presence, waiting to see what he'll do. He has every right to be full of himself and look down his nose at lesser creatures. However he is one of the most down to earth and honestly one of the most genuine people I've ever known. It truly is a pleasure to know him.
He and I met via Model Mayhem as well. We spoke for awhile and had a few misfires as far as scheduling an actual shoot. But persistance paid off and the resulting images are spectacular. Rashid is a gifted, intelligent and beautiful person inside and out. Watch for this driven young man to make a name for himself.
This handsome man was a surprise to me. An exotic dancer and spirited man he approached our shoot with the same zest he displays in daily life. Balls to the wall he just went for it and we created some of the most sensuous images to date.
We met in person when we shot together for the first time. I had contacted Sean because he seemed like a very open and artisticly minded person. I needed someone patient who understood the artistic process and he fit the bill. I had signed on as the lead makeup artist for a production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Part of my job was to apply latex lash marks and I hadn't worked with latex in years. So here some Sean who I had just met who disrobed and let me not only apply the latex wounds you see in a few of these images but also work the latex with an exacto knife mere centimeters from his skin. Talk about trusting. Since then we have not only continued to work together but have also developed a solid friendship. I count him as a dear friend and colleague.
Tim was very excited to work with me and we spoke at great length and in precise detail for quite some time before our scheduled shoot. He had boundless energy and terrific ideas of his own. So when the day came for him to travel up from Louisville, KY. we had alot on the agenda. We knocked out all the concepts we had laid out and created some terrific imagery.
